Sailsy and Gmail
Your pipeline is already in Gmail. The people you spoke to in March, the quote nobody answered, the intro that went cold — it is all there, and none of it is in a CRM, because putting it there means typing it twice.
Connecting Gmail to Sailsy reads that history and builds the CRM from it: contacts and companies with the conversation attached, leads sorted into warm and cold by what actually happened, and a next move named for each one. You keep working in the inbox you already use.

| Feature | Sailsy | Gmail on its own |
|---|---|---|
| Getting your contacts in | Extracted from the conversations already in your mailbox, with the thread attached | Contacts exist, but nothing turns a thread into a customer record |
| Knowing who has gone quiet | Every thread awaiting a reply is surfaced with how long it has been waiting | You remember, or you do not |
| Writing the follow-up | Drafted with the thread, the company profile and your notes as context — you approve every send | Smart Compose finishes sentences; it does not know the deal |
| Calendar | Google Calendar events import into the activity timeline alongside the mail | Separate product, separate context |
| Sending | Sends through your own connected mailbox, so replies come back to your inbox and threads stay intact | n/a — it is your mailbox |
| Turning it off | Disconnect in one click; the scan data has its own retention and purge | n/a |
What does Sailsy read when I connect Gmail?
The messages and calendar events it needs to build contacts, companies and their timelines. You approve the Google consent screen and can see what was extracted. Disconnecting removes Sailsy's stored access and purges the scan data — revoking the grant itself is done in your Google account, as with any connected app.
Does Sailsy send email without asking me?
No. Sailsy drafts; you approve every send. Nothing leaves your mailbox that you have not read, and it sends through your own connected account so replies arrive in your inbox.
Do I have to leave Gmail to use Sailsy?
No. Sailsy adapts to how you already sell rather than asking you to move. Work in Gmail as usual; open Sailsy when you want the pipeline view, the daily focus list or a drafted follow-up.
Is Google Workspace required, or does a personal Gmail work?
Either works — the connection is a standard Google OAuth grant for your own mailbox. Workspace admins can, as always, restrict which third-party apps their users may connect.
The verdict
If your sales history lives in Gmail and your CRM is empty because filling it is a chore, this is the integration that removes the chore. The inbox stays where you work; Sailsy makes it queryable.
Gmail on its own is a very good mail client. It is not a record of who owes you an answer, which deals went quiet, or what to do next — and that is the part Sailsy adds.
